Motson: Just one last thought about Ronaldo, Jonathan, before I know you wanna move on.

600 goals now, I mean, wha, I mean it crept under the radar a little bit a few weeks ago,

when he overtook Jimmy Greaves' record for the most goals in club football, in league football.

And of course, Jimmy never played in the Champions League did he, I mean,

Cristiano Ronaldo has played in all the major competitions.

I tell you what, I don't think there's any doubt that he's the best goalscorer of all-time,

I'm beginning to wonder - and this will start a few arguments - whether he now moves into that very highest of categories,

one of the best, well, THE best player of all time?

못슨: 호날두에 대해서 마지막으로 한가지만 언급하고 싶다.

현재 600골, 이건 뭐, 몇주전에 아주 조용하게 지미 그리브스가 가지고 있던 클럽 축구,

리그 축구 최다득점 기록을 깼는데.

당연한 말이지만 지미는 챔피언스 리그에선 뛴 적도 없고,

호날두는 모든 주요 대회에서 다 뛰지 않았나.

내가 한마디 하자면 이제 호날두가 역대 최고의 골잡이라는데에는 의심의 여지가 없을 것 같다.

내가 들기 시작한 생각은, 그리고 이로 인해 아마 적잖은 논쟁이 촉발될 것 같은데,

이제 호날두가 바로 그 역대 최상위의 범주에 진입한 것인가.

역대 최고 중 하나, 아니면, 아예 역대 최고의 선수라던가?

Jenson: I mean he deserves to be in that debate didn't he. We'd always ask is Ronaldo as good as Messi, then we'd always ask is Messi is the best of all-time.

It would be fairing out to put Ronaldo in that bracket.

옌슨: 호날두는 그 논쟁에 낄 자격이 있다.

예전에 항상 우린 호날두가 메시만큼 잘하느냐 논쟁했고, 그리곤 항상 메시가 역대 최고가 맞느냐 논쟁했다.

이제 호날두를 그 (역대 최고의) 범주에 넣어야 공평할 것이다.

Motson: Good point, because you know I was lucky enough to see Cruyff,

and to see Maradona and to see Gascoigne and all the so-called top players of that time.

Even I'm a bit too young to appreciate the full extent of Pele,

But, I think now - that debate will always go on, Ronaldo or Messi.

I mean, I happen to be in the Ronaldo camp,

and I'm voicing an opinion that I've held for some time.

I think he's definitely now, one of the greatest players of all-time.

못슨: 일리 있다. 왜냐하면 알다시피 나는 크루이프, 마라도나, 개스코인,

그 외에도 그 시대의 모든 최고 선수들을 다 볼 수 있던 행운을 누렸다.

내 나이로도 펠레의 모든 것을 다 겪고 느끼기에는 무리였지만,

어쨌든 지금 내가 생각하기엔 - 호날두냐 메시냐의 논쟁은 앞으로도 계속될 거고 -

나는 호날두측 진영에 있는데,

상당기간 동안 내가 가지고 있던 의견에 대해 이제 목소리를 높이고자 한다.

나는 지금의 호날두가 분명히 역대 최고의 선수 중 한명이라고 생각한다.
